I have been anxiously awaiting the premiere of Scandal since I first heard about it when Kerry Washington was filming last summer...I love Shonda Rhimes (writer/creator for Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, and now Scandal) and I love almost everything Kerry Washington is in (she is very selective of roles she takes) - I could not believe they made me wait until April. We all know patience is not my strong suit.

Olivia Pope is a complex woman - she is unrelenting with her process in how she eradicates her client's problems - she will find a solution. I tend to think her tenacity is a result of past hurt she has endured - time will tell as this character evolves. *spoiler alert* My one gripe is the fact a black woman was sleeping with a married man and the President for that matter.

Scandal is now taking ABC's Thursday night slot at 10pm away from Private Practice - I get it since Grey's Anatomy is a great lead in for a new show to gain more viewers, but I don't like Private Practice moving to Tuesdays at 10 - I like my medical shows on one day (since their characters are entwined), but I guess ABC's Tuesday night comedies are not doing well enough in ratings to lead in a freshman show.

Whatever the case, I am intrigued from the premiere and they have me as a viewer; the DVR will be programmed accordingly.
